DUBAI: The Ruler of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al-Said, on Tuesday discussed with world leaders plans to tackle the global spread of coronavirus.
In separate phone calls with leaders from Kuwait, Bahrain, India and Qatar, the Omani leader discussed existing ties of cooperation between the Sultanate and the said countries, state news agency ONA reported.
The leaders also reviewed efforts being exerted at different levels to curb the spread of coronavirus and alleviate its impacts on humanity, ONA said.
Meanwhile, the Omani leader has issued a Royal pardon 599 prisoners convicted of different cases, including 336 foreign inmates.
