The UAE’s first online music festival is here

Set to take place on April 8, The Beat DXB Lockdown is an online “music festival” set to feature 33 regional artists performing 10-minute sets from their home over the space of nine hours. Sponsorship proceeds will be donated to various charities. Read on for some of the local musicians who will be participating in the digital music festival. 

  • Ghaliaa Chaker

    Based in the UAE’s Al-Ain, the Syrian singer debuted her single “Why” two-years-ago, after almost a decade of playing the piano and guitar. 

  • Freek

    The Somali artist, who was born Mustafa Ismail in the UAE, can be credited for pushing hip hop subgenre ‘drill’ to the forefront in the Arab world.

  • Shebani

    Sarah Shebani is an Iraqi singer based in Dubai who gained recognition for her soulful vocals and lyrics with messages of self-love and empowerment. 

  • Moh Flow

    One of the most accomplished artists in the UAE, the Syrian-Palestinian rapper has performed in New York and Los Angeles and collaborated with US rapper Pusha T.

  • Zenden Lavon

    The American rapper who launched his career in Dubai is set to release his forthcoming album, titled “Musa,” later this year. 

  • Saud

    Hailing from Alkhobar, Saudi music producer Saud Al-Turki will perform a live set via Instagram.
