Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman on Saturday praised the efforts of workers in the region’s health facilities, and the efficiency of health practitioners and equipment in the confinement center dedicated to treating suspected cases of coronavirus.
He met with the center’s team in charge of reviewing and following up on confinement procedures in the region, in the presence of Madinah’s Deputy Gov. Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal.
The governor congratulated all health workers for receiving tribute from King Salman, who in a speech praised their efforts to protect the health of Saudis and residents in the Kingdom, risking their own lives while doing their duties.
Prince Faisal stressed the importance of implementing infection control measures with high professionalism, in order to provide integrated health care services to guarantee the safety of isolated cases and health personnel.
Meanwhile, the secretary-general of the Madinah Development Authority assured the implementation of a new package of preventive measures in commercial centers and other locations of sales and commercial activities, in order to protect Saudis and residents from coronavirus, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Fahd Al-Buliheshi visited Madinah’s central market to supervise implementation of control, health and preventive measures recommended by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.
The measures include preparing the market’s paths to ensure safe and smooth passage of shoppers, redistributing sales sites to improve ventilation, sterilizing and disinfecting the market, organizing buying and selling processes, redistributing public auctions on incoming vegetables and fruits, and improving the condition of the fish and meat markets.
