DUBAI: The UAE and Bahrain have topped the number of people tested for the coronavirus with a combined total of 19,165 per one million individuals, UAE state news agency WAM reported on Tuesday.
The following 22 countries – outside the Gulf region – including South Korea, China, Iceland, Norway and Italy tested 17,814 per million individuals.
Earlier on Tuesday, the UAE’s health ministry reported 15 new confirmed cases in the country, bringing the total number to 113.
The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 200,000 confirmed cases worldwide and killed over 8000 people.
