Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al-Hazani is the newly appointed spokesperson for the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD).
Al-Hazani’s appointment came recently under instructions by the minister of HRSD. Speaking to Arab News, he said: “As a spokesman for Human Resources and Social Development I will work on increasing public awareness and keep them updated about the ministry’s latest developments, besides building a strong liaison with the media.”
Al-Hazani has a bachelor of arts from King Saud University, majoring in mass communication, public relations, and a master’s in mass communication from Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University obtained in 2009.
His expertise lies in his management of communications and formal representation of an organization, integrated strategic planning for communications, media and marketing, image generation for an organization that conforms to the organization’s vision, and building an extensive public relations network with media authorities and agencies in Saudi Arabia and GCC countries.
Al-Hazani was a journalist between 2002 and 2011, while simultaneously working as a media and public relations specialist in the Cooperation Council for Arab States of the Gulf from 2004 to 2007, and as a TV presenter on Al-Majd TV.
He also worked as a media affairs manager and spokesman for the National Water Company.
His training includes “Strategies Management and Planning,” from Altawail Management and Training Center, “Effective Supervision for Leaders,” from the Arabic Center for Marketing, and “Conference Management Strategies,” from Alwaha Center in Dubai.
Earlier this year he released a book, “The Media in its New Age.”
