DUBAI: King Abdullah Port recently participated in Breakbulk Middle East to promote the port’s regional and global presence.
The fifth edition of the annual event was held at Dubai World Trade Centre under the patronage of the UAE minister of infrastructure development, Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al-Nuaimi.
Khaled Shalha, marketing head at King Abdullah Port, said: “The Kingdom has embarked on a remarkable transformation journey inspired by the goals of Vision 2030, and we are proud to support these efforts through our state-of-the-art maritime logistics capabilities.”
Participants at the event shared ideas and insights on the factors driving development in the region and where future opportunities lie. They also discussed strategies for remaining competitive in the current market and how they are prioritizing improvements.
Recently, King Abdullah Port announced that its annual throughput of bulk and general cargos increased to 2.98 million tons by the end of 2019, an increase of 333 percent compared to last year’s figure of 689,000 tons.
