Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), represented by CEO Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Badran, was elected member of the board of directors of SAMENA Telecommunications Council for the period 2020-2022. SAMENA’s board of directors includes various companies present in more than 25 countries.
Mobily had participated in the “Convergence to Bahrain 2020” conference in Bahrain on Feb. 6. The event was organized by SAMENA Council and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Bahrain to discuss 5G technologies and IoT, and set the digital vision for the region, with the participation of experts from the ICT sector.
SAMENA Council’s general assembly meeting was held alongside the conference, in which Mobily was voted to the board.
SAMENA is a tri-regional, nonprofit industry association spanning more than 25 countries. It represents the interests of more than 85 telecom operators and service providers in the fixed and mobile space, and stakeholders from the wider digital ecosystem.
