Abdulrahman Al-Turjuman has been assistant vice president of marketing and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) unit at Saudi Economic and Development Co. (SEDCO) since July 2019.
As vice president of CSR, he is working to build the Riyali Financial Literacy Program, which aims to enhance financial awareness in the community, giving people the skills and knowledge to meet their financial responsibilities.
Recently, the program launched the Ashbal Riyali Competition, which is managed by Al-Turjuman in partnership with the Saudi British Bank (SABB) and the Ministry of Education for elementary school students.
The contest, from January to April 2020, encourages financial awareness among primary school students and raises financial literacy in the Saudi community.
Al-Turjuman earned his bachelor’s degree in 2007 in business and marketing from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals. Later, he received his master’s degree in 2018 in business administration from London Business School in the UK.
In 2007, he began his career as a senior account executive at FullStop Advertising. After moving to Bank AlJazira in 2007, he worked in different roles, including external communication manager and public relations and communication manager, until 2010.
In his nine years with SEDCO, Al-Turjuman has served as an assistant marketing manager, CRS project leader, marketing communication manager, marketing manager, section head of marketing and CSR, acting head of marketing and CSR, as well as his current positions.
