RIYADH: Three training programs to identify job opportunities in tourism are underway at the Coffee Beans Festival in the Al-Dayer governorate.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, represented by the National Center for Tourism Human Resources Development (Takamul), set up the programs to build basic tourism guidance skills and highlight job opportunities in the sector.
Jazan’s youth will be encouraged to develop entrepreneurship skills as part of the training.
The program on tourism guidance will continue until Feb. 18, and will include lectures and practical training exercises to help participants meet the latest international tour guides’ standards and requirements.
Takamul is primarily designed to increase the number of internationally accredited Saudi tour guides.
It covers both theoretical and practical aspects, and heritage places — such as Al-Bujairi district in Diriyah and the National Museum — are visited to apply practical training skills.
