RIYADH: The General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT) shared its experience at the Financial Digital Transformation Forum in Riyadh on Sunday, where it reviewed its tasks, activities and initiatives in the field of zakat and tax.
The forum was organized by the Business Center of the Institute of Public Administration in cooperation with the British Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
The authority discussed the challenges and solutions facing the ongoing digital transformation. It stressed the need for exchanging knowledge and benefiting from global practices. GAZT is one of the most prominent governmental agencies in applying the digital transformation. It transfers all transactions to taxpayers through modern digital methods and tools.
The Saudi financial sector was also discussed among a number of topics. The sector is witnessing the largest transformation process in its history in terms of automating operations, digitizing corporate agendas, protecting assets, managing costs, strategic planning as well as creating an appropriate and stimulating economic environment for sustainable economic growth in the country.
Leaders of the financial sector and experts of digital and financial transformation from inside and outside the Kingdom participated in the forum.
