RIYADH: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and aspects of cooperation in different areas.
They also reviewed regional and international developments and several other issues of common interest.
Khan arrived in Madinah and visited the Prophet’s Mosque before heading to Riyadh. In Riyadh, Khan was received by Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar at King Khalid International Airport.
In a statement issued on Friday, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said that the visit was “part of the regular exchanges between the leadership of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
It added: “The consultations will cover bilateral matters and recent developments in the regional context.”
Khan’s trip follows Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s visit earlier this week to Riyadh where Qureshi held a meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Farhan bin Abdullah, to review bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss the latest regional and international developments.
