NEW YORK: Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the UN, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, has called on the Syrian authorities to fully cooperate with the teams involved in the implementation of all decisions related to the use of chemical weapons.
The demand came in Al-Mouallimi’s response to the statement against the Kingdom by Syria’s permanent representative to the UN during the plenary session of the Committee on Disarmament and International Security.
Al-Mouallimi said: “Saudi Arabia has provided all capabilities and assistance for the development of Lebanon. But Syria provided the country with terrorist militias like Hezbollah, the military intervention that resulted in Lebanon losing many years of progress.”
