Pakistanis applaud royal couple for projecting country's positive image

• Pakistanis say more visits like this will help boost tourism and show to the world that their country is safe

ISLAMABAD: The visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has helped project Pakistan’s positive image globally, promoting the country's rich and diverse culture and signifying that the South Asian state is safe for outsiders to visit, citizens and government functionaries said at the end of the royal couple’s five-day tour on Friday.
Prince William and Kate Middleton remained at the center of global and social media attention during their Pakistan tour. Reacting to the high-profile visit, some Pakistanis said that tour of foreign dignitaries that put a spotlight on the country’s culture could help boost its tourism industry.
