- More than 32 Saudi information and communication technology companies showcased their products
DUBAI: The deputy ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, visited on Thursday the Saudi Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at GITEX Technology Week 2019.
He was received by the ministry’s undersecretary for security abilities, Maj. Gen. Fahd bin Ibrahim Al-Zarah.
Al-Zarah accompanied Al-Maktoum on a tour of the pavilion during which he was briefed on smart technologies and solutions that improve services provided by security sectors in the Kingdom.
This year, more than 32 Saudi information and communication technology companies showcased their products.
According to a statement from the Saudi Exports Development Authority, the companies’ participation is intended to “enhance their access to regional and international markets through the world’s third-largest technology event and the biggest in the MENA region.”
GITEX Technology Week 2019 focused on exploring and showcasing new insights and innovative ideas in the fields of e-commerce, artificial intelligence, 5G technology, cloud computing, hardware and software.
