- ‘I have the utmost confidence in the Kingdom’s justice system’
- Since Khashoggi's death, Salah says his father's death has been exploited
JEDDAH: Jamal Khashoggi’s son said on Monday that his father’s death is being exploited to undermine Saudi Arabia and its leadership.
“The opponents and enemies of the homeland exploited my father’s cause to undermine my country and my leadership,” Salah Khashoggi said on Twitter, adding that he will not allow his memory to be undermined.
During the year since Jamal was killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul “opponents from the east and west have sought to take advantage of his case,” Salah said
“My father, in his entire life, has never tolerated any abuse or attempt to harm (the Kingdom), and I will not accept his memory or his cause being taken advantage of to achieve that after his demise.”
Salah said he has the “utmost confidence in the Kingdom’s justice system” to bring the perpetrators of his father’s murder to justice.
