DAMMAM: Fahad Al-Jubeir, mayor of the Eastern Province, on Sunday inaugurated Children’s City at Al-Iskan Park, Alkhobar.
Alkhobar Mayor Sultan Al-Zayidi said that Children’s City covers an area of 6,000 square meters. It was designed as a miniature city and includes streets and lanes to organize traffic, as well as parking spots for cars and traffic signals.
 It includes 25 models of government buildings and facilities, in addition to models of shopping malls, recreational facilities and residential buildings.
He said that the city aims to teach children about traffic rules and educate them on governmental facilities.
Al-Jubeir said that the project was delivered in the spirit of social responsibility to provide comfort, service, fun and leisure to children while raising awareness about services provided by the state. He added that the project further enhances quality of life in Alkhobar as the city aims to provide the finest standards of life, housing and recreational facilities.
