RIYADH: The British Embassy in Riyadh has launched a photo competition to mark the upcoming 89th Saudi National Day.

UK Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Richard Oppenheim announced the contest titled “The Kingdom through my lens,” and said: “The competition celebrates the strategic relationship between the two kingdoms — the UK and Saudi Arabia — and I look forward to some great images from both our countries.”

To run alongside the competition, the embassy also launched the UKinSaudiArabia Instagram channel.

To take part, contestants are invited to submit a picture of their favorite place in Saudi Arabia or the UK to the embassy’s Twitter and Instagram accounts @ukinsaudiarabia and complete the entry form. The last date for submissions will be Oct. 12.

At the end of the competition two winning entries will be chosen, one photo from Saudi Arabia and one from the UK. The winners will receive one return flight ticket to London and a VIP shopping experience at Bicester Village courtesy of competition partners Almosafer and VisitBritain.

The contest is open to all citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia. Photographs should be based on the theme and follow competition rules.
