MADINAH: In collaboration with the Islamic University in Madinah, the King Abdul Aziz Complex for Waqf Libraries is organizing an international conference called “Innovation and Revitalization of Libraries” at the King Salman International Conference Center in Madinah on Monday.
More than 75 speakers and experts from Pakistan, Singapore, Cameroon, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia will take part in the three-day conference, as well as professors and specialized researchers from universities and academic institutions in the Kingdom.
The speakers will present six main themes that include change in library methods since 2018, the effect of innovation on management and structure in libraries, innovation and its role in enhancing the competitive advantage in libraries, innovative programs and services in libraries to meet society’s demands, innovative solutions for problems and challenges facing libraries, and the library and society — their relationship and advanced needs.
The King Abdul Aziz Complex for Waqf Libraries will inaugurate its activities and cultural program with the conference. This will be accompanied by an exhibition where a number of institutions and agencies specialized in libraries, culture and heritage will take part.
