Saudi Arabia’s King Salman issues royal decree to promote 22 judges

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has issued a royal order, promoting and appointing 22 judges to the Board of Grievances, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
The President of the Court of Grievances, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, expressed appreciation to the king for his continuing support for the judiciary.
He said that decree included the promotion of four appellate judges to presidents of the Court of Appeal.
Ten assistant judges were promoted to deputy chiefs of court, and the others received promotions within their ranks.
The decree was part of a preceding royal orders issued by King Salman to develop the judicial system in the Kingdom.
