Euromoney awarded the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) the award for “Best Bank in Bahrain” at the Euromoney Middle East Awards for Excellence 2019. Now in its 27th year, the awards were presented to winning banks from across the region at a gala dinner at the Grosvenor House in Dubai in the presence of senior industry executives from across the GCC and MENA region.
According to the criteria, NBB was honored as the “Best Bank in Bahrain” for its transformation, strong performance and results delivered over the past year and its continued market leadership.
Accepting the award on behalf of the bank was NBB CEO Jean-Christophe Durand. He said: “We’re extremely honored with this recognition for NBB and for our teams across the bank that have worked tirelessly to execute and bring to life our strategy of transformation introduced two years ago. This award underscores the successes and achievements of this journey to date and our strong intention to ensure that NBB continues to innovate, change and better meet the fast developing requirements of the market — particularly on the digital front.”
