TBILISI: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Al-Assaf met Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze in Tbilisi, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them in all fields.
Al-Assaf also met Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani. They reviewed bilateral relations and ways of strengthening and developing them.
Al-Assaf gave a speech to journalists, in which he expressed the interest of Saudi Arabia in developing relations between the two countries in the economic and tourism fields.
For his part, the Georgian foreign minister welcomed Al-Assaf and his delegation, and expressed the Georgian government’s interest in developing relations between the two countries.
Al-Assaf also talked to the Georgian Parliament’s deputy speaker, Gia Volsky, about bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing parliamentary cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministry’s undersecretary for protocol affairs, Azzam bin Abdulkarim Al-Qain, and Saudi Ambassador to Georgia Abdullah Al-Mutairi.
