Abdullah bin Kadasa has been the director of media and strategic communications at the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) since last July.

He got his bachelor’s in mass communication from King Saud University in 2009, his master’s in international media from the American University in Washington, DC in 2013 and obtained other qualifications from institutions in the US and Europe.

He previously worked as a journalist at the Dar Al-Hayat newspaper, from 2008 to 2013, and was director of marketing and sales at Arabian Printing and Publishing House from 2013 to 2014.

Kadasa has been a lecturer at the College of Media and Communication at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University since September 2014.

On Friday the Kingdom’s projects in Yemen were showcased at three major summits that were hosted in Makkah.

Kadasa said the SDRPY’s participation in these events reflected the importance of communicating Saudi efforts in the development and reconstruction of Yemen to other countries.

The program, which covers most Yemeni governorates, focuses on vital sectors such as health, water, electricity, agriculture, fisheries and ports.

He said the Kingdom was committed to providing all the necessary support for projects that would have a positive impact on the lives of Yemenis.

He said Yemen’s gross domestic product has halved since 2011, and Saudi Arabia has lent millions of dollars to the nation’s central bank to support its currency, as well as to Yemenis in need.
