  • Prominent university-level research projects are judged by an elite group of judges

RIYADH: The mathematical sciences department at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University has taken first and third place in a regional competition, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The contest was for students at the Riyadh region level and was organized by the Saudi Association for Mathematical Sciences at King Saud University.
Research by Nourah Al-Harbi, Kafaa Al-Otaibi, and Hoda Awadh, under the supervision of Dr. Mona Ashour, took the top spot. Research about a mathematical model of stem cell therapy for the treatment of cancer, prepared by Nour Al Hoda Mohammed Al-Hajr, Kafa Yaser Al-Zaabouti and Amjad Bandar Al Zoughaibi, under the supervision of Dr. Manar Al Qoodat, ranked third.
Prominent university-level research projects are judged by an elite group of judges, the most important of whom this year was Princess Asmaa Bin Ibrahim Al-Thumairi, who is an assistant professor at the mathematical sciences department of Princess Nourah University.
