Ibrahim bin Abdullah Alrwosa, spokesman of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation

Ibrahim bin Abdullah Alrwosa was recently appointed as the official spokesman for the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in addition to his role as the director of its media center.

Alrwosa has a track record of working for different media institutions in Saudi Arabia in different capacities. 

He started his career as a journalist. He worked as the editor in chief of Alfyha E-News between 2003 and 2007. Prior to that, he worked at the Imam Mohammad bin Saud University Magazine between 1999 and 2003.

In 2007, he joined the Saudi Press Agency, where he worked for almost 12 years until 2018. Alrwosa has also worked for Al-Jazirah newspaper as an investigative journalist and editor.

He is currently the editor in chief of GACA’s Civil Aviation Magazine. Alrwosa has also spent time as a journalism lecturer at Imam Mohammed bin Saud University between 1999 and 2003.

Alrwosa has a bachelor’s degree in Arabic from the Riyadh-based Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University. He is also an accredited media trainer and author, with his byline appearing in several publications. He writes on a wide range of issues. 

Alrwosa’s latest book, published in 2018, explores a range of tools and skills for editors, including digital news content management systems, technical features of digital media, modern editorial features, and more. He has also presented a number of radio and television programs.

During the latest meeting of the Saudi Journalists Forum recently held in Riyadh, participants congratulated Alrwosa on his latest appointment at the aviation authority.
