RIYADH: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, represented by Executive Vice President of Intellectual Property Policies and Partnerships Sami Al-Sudais, and the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), represented by Executive Vice President Abdullah Al-Qatei, at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The MoU is to raise awareness on the importance of intellectual property and respect for its rights, by conducting a mandatory questionnaire on intellectual property, preparing a licensing test for an intellectual property agent, exchanging scientific advice and expertise, and cooperating in any research or scientific projects related to the tasks of the two sides.
Al-Sudais stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with Qiyas and other entities, so that the authority could achieve its strategic goals and provide its services to enhance their quality and contribution to serving the economy.
Recently, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property launched a major awareness campaign to mark its first participation in World Intellectual Property Day.
