MAKKAH: The Kingdom’s private sector can enrich pilgrims’ experience through partnerships with the government, the Saudi Press Agency reported the minister of Hajj and Umrah as saying.
Mohammed Salih Bentin met companies and institutions from Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah industries. He said the ministry would provide all facilities and support for the private sector to play its role in achieving the objectives of a pilgrimage initiative, the Guests of Al-Rahman program, and the Vision 2030 reform plan.
The Saudi leadership was keen to raise the efficiency and level of services provided to pilgrims, he added, with a focus on local talent, quality and sustainability.
“The ministry aspires to develop Hajj and Umrah companies and provide a model for distinguished companies that not only seek to make a profit, but also compete with similar international services in the hospitality sector and enrich the pilgrims’ experience. The ministry is fully prepared to develop and support such a model,” he said.
