Saudi Arabia supports peaceful transition in Sudan, King Salman announces aid package

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has expressed its support for the Sudanese people and the measures taken by the transitional military council following a statement issued on Saturday by its leader.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom said it backed the steps announced by the transitional council in preserving the lives and property of the Sudanese population and hoped that this could be achieved will achieved.
Saudi Arabia calls on the “brotherly Sudanese people” to give priority to the national interest to achieve their aspirations and hopes for development and prosperity.
Also on Saturday, King Salman issued directives to the concerned authorities in the Kingdom to provide a package of humanitarian aid, including petroleum products, wheat and medicines to the Sudanese people.
