A major naval festival to celebrate the work of the Saudi armed forces has been launched in the Kingdom.

The 10-day event, being held at the King Abdul Aziz Naval Base in Jubail, was opened in the presence of Jubail Gov. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Askar and Commander of the Eastern Fleet Rear Adm. Fahd Al-Shamrani.

Now in its fourth year the festival, organized by the Eastern Fleet Command, aims to highlight the efforts, strength and work of the Kingdom’s land, sea and air armed forces.

The event includes naval shows, paragliding, board games, contests, parades and parachute jumping.
