RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Royal Air Defense Force shot down a Houthi drone that was flying toward Saudi Arabia, Saudi State TV reported.
The spokesperson of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, Col. Turki Al-Maliki, said that the drone was targeting civilians in a residential area in the city of Abha.
After examining the debris of the destroyed drone, the coalition said that it showed characteristics and specifications of Iranian manufacturing.
The Spokesman for the Directorate of Civil Defense in Asir Region, Colonel Mohammed Al-Assami, said the fall of the fragments of the drone injured four Saudi nationals, including a woman, and a resident of Indian nationality.
Six vehicles and a number of houses were damaged in the attack.
