LONDON: Saudi efforts to achieve the UN’s sustainable development goals were highlighted at a UK event on Sunday.
The forum focused on what individuals and institutions in the Kingdom were doing to attain the goals and link these to reform efforts.
“The forum also aims to contribute to the promotion of a scientific, cultural and civilized image of Saudi Arabia, as well as efforts to contribute to a safe and prosperous international community by highlighting the skills necessary for effective communication and the understanding of cultural diversity,” said Dr. Fares bin Abdullah Al-Maliki, forum CEO.
The forum also featured entrepreneurship projects, initiatives and research from Saudi exchange students and academics, he added.
The cultural attaché at the Saudi Embassy in the UK, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Mugaishi, spoke about the vital role of Saudi exchange students in representing their culture and promoting the development of Saudi Arabia.
He urged Saudi students to invest in the opportunity they had been given through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Overseas Scholarship Program.
