- Speaker highlights growing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan in the economic and political areas
RIYADH: The speaker of the Shoura Council, Dr. Abdullah Al-Asheikh, welcomed Kyrgyzstan’s foreign minister and a Kyrgyz delegation visiting the Kingdom.
Al-Asheikh met Chingiz Aidarbekov on Wednesday at the council’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The speaker highlighted the growing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan in both economic and political areas, including joint parliamentary friendship committees.
The Kyrgyz foreign minister thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the Kingdom’s support through infrastructure investments in the republic.
The Shoura Council had helped to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, he said.
The minister called for an expansion in relations between the Shoura Council and the Kyrgyz Parliament.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah bin Salim Al-Mutani, deputy chairman of the Shoura Council; Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Samaan, assistant speaker of the council; Abdulrahman bin Saeed Al-Jumaa, Saudi ambassador to Kyrgyzstan; and Abdullatif Juma Baeif, Kyrgyzstan’s ambassador to the Kingdom.
