Organization of Islamic Cooperation chief receives ambassador of Mozambique

JEDDAH: Mozambique Ambassador Faisal Fakir Qassam, who is also his country’s permanent representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), called on OIC chief Dr. Yussuf Al-Othaimeen at his office in Jeddah on Sunday.
The Mozambique envoy presented his credentials to Al-Othaimeen and stressed his country’s commitment to the OIC and its activities. He said his country is interested in working closely with the organization to achieve their common goals.
Al-Othaimeen highlighted the importance of increased cooperation between Mozambique and the OIC. He assured the envoy of full support and assistance during his tenure.
The OIC is working relentlessly to resolve political, economic, social and human rights issues in member countries. The foreign ministers of member states will meet in Abu Dhabi on March 1-2 to discuss the OIC’s role in promoting development in member states.
They will discuss the effectiveness and adoption of OIC’s various programs and measures. The ministers will also highlight their national priorities for economic development, and areas of convergence with the OIC’s objectives, plans and programs.
