Saudi Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mua’jab on Thursday led a meeting of the heads of Public Prosecution offices from throughout the Kingdom.
The latest periodic gathering of the legal chiefs, held in Makkah, began with Al-Mua’jab thanking King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unlimited support to the work of the country’s Public Prosecution service.
The meeting reviewed the offices’ recent achievements which included the advancement of technology, implementation of national reform programs, and playing a key role in protecting public money through corruption cases.
Mua’jab highlighted the need to ensure transparency in all dealings with clients and said the Public Prosecution offices had a responsibility, wherever possible, to simplify the criminal prosecution system and the management of proceedings.
The attorney general also pointed to efforts being made to enhance the legal culture and community partnerships and stressed the importance of giving the swiftest-possible attention to the issues of prisoners and detainees.
Al-Mua’jab hailed the relationship between the Public Prosecution’s branches and government agencies.
