International Indian School, Tabuk marks 70th R-Day

The International Indian School, Tabuk celebrated the 70th Republic Day of India on Jan. 26. The event was attended by Dr. Asif Kandampath, chairman of the school’s managing committee, as the chief guest and Salman Rashood, supervisor at the ministry of education, Tabuk, as the guest of honor. 

The Indian flag was hoisted at 9 a.m. by Principal Parvez Ahmed and the chairman. In his speech, Kandampath said that the teaching community should train students to become honest citizens.

Principal Ahmed read out the President’s Address and advised students to increase their awareness and become true citizens of India.

Guest of honor Rashood congratulated the Indian community on the occasion. 

A number of teachers and students spoke about the importance of Republic Day and their duty toward their country.

A cultural program organized after the speeches comprised a parade representing all states of India by students of the kindergarten section, patriotic songs and dance performances, a saree drill and bicycle stunts.

The program concluded with the distribution of sweets to students and parents who attended the event in large numbers.
