Dr. Shadi Fouad Khawandanah is a Saudi businessman and chairman of Special Direction, a business consultancy house.
Special Direction was established in 2007 by a group of local and international business consultants from various backgrounds. This team of professionals has been providing businesspeople with world-class consultancy, HR services, and training programs for the last 11 years to improve companies’ performances, and employees’ lives.
Dr. Khawandanah has prolific experience in the world of business. He has set up more than several successful companies in the Middle East and Europe and is a board member of numerous organizations.
He is an executive member of the board and the president of the Corporate Responsibility Committee at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC-SA), Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Khawandanah holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran. He also holds an MBA degree in corporate management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt. He holds a Ph.D. in organizational leadership, and he is certified in strategic management from Harvard University in the US.
In his career, Dr. Khawandanah has received several awards and titles. He is also a recipient of the King Khalid Award For Responsible Competitiveness in December 2015.
During the 5th annual alumni conference organized by the US mission in Saudi Arabia, Jeffrey Willey, cultural affairs officer at the US Consulate praised Dr. Khawandanah, for his key role in organizing the event, which attracted about 125 alumni from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dhahran.
The event was held at the Jeddah Youth Hub with Saudi graduates of US schools, colleges, universities and visitor programs taking part in interactive sessions and workshops.
