JEDDAH: National Guard Minister Prince Khalid bin Abdul Aziz bin Ayyaf sponsored the ninth Annual Forum for Medical Research titled “Achieving the National Vision through Medical Research.”
The three-day forum was organized by the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center at King Abdul Aziz University for Health Science, with the participation of experts and health practitioners from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
The prince was received by Bandar Al-Qanawi, executive director for health affairs at the National Guard Ministry, Saad Al-Mohrej, director general of the ministry’s medical affairs department and other officials.
The forum, Al-Qanawi said, is in line with an ambitious national vision that sees scientific research as a pillar of advanced development. Prince Khalid stressed the importance of the research center to the Saudi health sector.
Aspirations
Prince Khalid said the center aims to provide the best health, scientific and research care, and achieve the aspirations of the government under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
He added that the Saudi government has paid great attention to scientific research and study of the results, turning them into economic and cognitive products to optimize academic work to achieve Vision 2030.
