Muslim World League launches health, civil projects in Africa

JEDDAH: The Muslim World League (MWL), represented by the International Association for Relief, Care and Development (IARCD), has launched a series of civil, humanitarian and health projects in African countries as part of its special program for the continent.
MWL recently carried out a heart surgery program for the elderly, distributed allocations for 14,000 orphans, and implemented a program to fight disease in Sudan’s eastern state of Kassala.
Sudanese Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Awad Ibn Auf extended his appreciation for MWL’s international efforts to provide assistance and mitigate the effects of disasters around the world.
MWL also inaugurated a project to fight disease in Kassala following a call by the Sudanese Prime Minister Omar Al-Bashir for humanitarian organizations to help combat chikungunya in the area.
