Hyundai has showcased its complete Saudi Arabia model range to motoring journalists at a special “Day with Hyundai” event held in Dammam. The event, which highlighted the brand’s recently refreshed SUV lineup as well as popular sedan models, demonstrated its commitment to quality and innovation.
Organized by Hyundai’s three distributors in Saudi Arabia — Almajdouie Motors in Dammam, Wallan Trading Company in Riyadh, and Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Motors in Jeddah, the “Day with Hyundai” concept allowed journalists to test a wide range of Hyundai vehicles on a route from Dammam to Al-Hasa.
“This has been an extremely active year for Hyundai model launches in the region, and the ‘Day with Hyundai’ is an opportunity for journalists to experience our newest product offerings across several segments,” said Mike Song, Hyundai’s head of operations for Africa and the Middle East. “Highlights are the all-new generations of two of our most important models — the Santa Fe and Accent — as well as the very exciting addition to our range, the Kona premium sub-compact SUV, and the updated Tucson.”
The event included a briefing by Song and a presentation on the new SUV products which arrived in GCC showrooms in the second half of 2018.
Representatives from Hyundai Motor Company regional headquarters were on hand to answer questions on the latest models, as well as to discuss Hyundai plans for the future.
“Each new generation of Hyundai makes a significant step forward not just for our model range, but also in setting new benchmarks for the market as a whole,” said Song. “Already, customers turn to Hyundai for style as well as value, and we are now leading the introduction of advanced technologies, such as driver assistance and safety functions, into the mass-market.”
The fourth generation Santa Fe is proving to be a success in the Saudi market. It is Hyundai’s flagship SUV.
Hyundai Motor Company is also preparing for a successful year in 2019, with plans for significant model launches including the new Grand Santa Fe, the new generation Sonata, and a new CUV model to add to the Hyundai lineup.
“Hyundai will continue to pursue ambitious product plans during 2019, investing in new generations of existing models, and expanding our range to appeal to more customers than ever before,” said Song.
