JEDDAH: Jeddah University’s president stressed the care and attention accorded by the Saudi government to the environment and environmental sustainability.
Adnan Al-Humaidan did so while launching a campaign against plastic pollution in the presence of Khalil Al-Thaqafi, president of the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection.
Al-Humaidan said: “Jeddah University accords a great deal of attention to environmental education as a promoter of quality of life.”
Both officials honored the campaign’s participating entities, and toured the accompanying exhibition. There was also a lecture about the damage caused by plastic pollution to the environment.
