Key officials meet in Riyadh to discuss economic crisis in Yemen

JEDDAH: Senior Saudi, Emirati, American and British officials met in Riyadh on Wednesday to identify key actions to rapidly address the economic and humanitarian situations in Yemen.
As Yemen’s economic situation and the value of its currency remain fragile, the four nations urged the international community to increase its support for Yemen.
The officials agreed to establish a technical advisory committee to meet monthly with the aim of agreeing to further measures to stabilize Yemen’s currency, strengthen the management of foreign currency flows, and support the government’s efforts to improve its economic management.
