Saudi Arabia’s King Salman orders release of prisoners in Hail jailed over debts

RIYADH: While visiting Hail on November 7, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman pardoned prisoners in the region jailed on financial charges. The order applies to those with debts of SR 1 million or less, who are not involved in criminal cases. In addition, the government will pay off the debts of those who have been proven to be unable to repay them. The King is in Hail as part of a tour of the Kingdom’s regions.
