- During the remainder of their trip, they will visit farms, factories and research centers in the United States
JEDDAH: Representatives from the National Center for Palms and Dates on Thursday visited a number of farms and research centers in the US to share experiences and learn new methods for controlling diseases that affect palm trees.
The Saudi delegation, which is on a five-day visit to the US, also includes a number of academics in the field, along with farmers whose produce boasts the “Saudi Dates” label. During the remainder of their trip, they will visit farms, factories and research centers in the Riverside area of Los Angeles, California, and Yuma city in Arizona.
It is one of a series of overseas visits and meetings organized by the center during the last quarter of 2018 to benefit from the experiences of date producers in other countries.
