JEDDAH: “Based on its confidence in the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia,” the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) expressed solidarity with the Kingdom in all its efforts to achieve justice in the case of the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

During a conference organized by the IIFA, it said it is “confident that the judicial authorities involved in the investigation of this case will do justice and punish the aggressors.”

The IIFA added: “The history of Saudi Arabia serves as a witness of the credibility of actions taken by the Kingdom in order to achieve justice.”

Participants in the conference also expressed support for the Kingdom, describing recent media attacks against it as an offensive against Islam itself.

The Kingdom previously faced similar hostile campaigns but came out stronger, they said, adding that sullying its reputation is a red line for Muslims.

The conference also highlighted scholars’ role in educating the masses and enlightening the Muslim world.
