JEDDAH: The Saudi and Bahraini navies on Friday concluded a joint maritime drill off Bahrain’s territorial waters.
The Bridge 19 drill included diverse scenarios aimed at improving fighting capacity and professional performance of various maritime operations.
The military tactics executed included breaking into buildings, deploying landing ropes from a tower, breaking into vessels and searching them, and rapid drop-offs from helicopters onto ships. The drill included the use of live ammunition.
It was carried out in a real combat environment, and all procedures and operations were enforced in record time and high standards, said the commanding officer of the drill, Khalid Shabib Al-Dawsari.
