JEDDAH: Saad Al-Maimouni, the governor of Taif, recently launched the province’s contribution to the 2018 Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. He was joined by Saleh Al-Moans, the director of health affairs in Taif, and the directors of a number of local government agencies.
The campaign aims to raise awareness in the community, especially among women, of the need for regular screening for breast cancer, and of the seriousness of the disease.
Early detection is key to successfully treating the disease, and can best be achieved by through regular self-checks, examinations by a doctor and mammograms.
