JEDDAH: Noura Al-Jabreen, first secretary at Saudi Arabia’s permanent mission to the UN, told the UN’s Social, Human and Cultural Committee that the Kingdom is making great strides in the provision of services to people with disabilities and special needs — a top priority of the Kingdom’s 10th Development Plan (2015-2019).

The Kingdom’s Family Affairs Council, she added, is working to “strengthen the status and role of the family in society, within efforts to integrate family policies into national frameworks for sustainable development.”

Al-Jabreen also stressed the importance of the Kingdom’s Quality of Life Program 2020, which encourages a healthier and happier lifestyle for its inhabitants.
