Najm Insurance Services, the leading traffic support service provider in the Kingdom, celebrated the success of its blood donation campaign by presenting a car to the Disabled Children Association (DCA).

The blood donation campaign, launched under the theme “Every drop of blood counts,” recently reached 10,000 donors.

A ceremony was held at the DCA headquarters, in the presence of representatives from Najm and Wateen Application, a campaign partner. Also in attendance were DCA’s employees.

The campaign, Najm said, demonstrated the company’s strong commitment to social responsibility. Najm said it will present a car to another lucky winner chosen from the pool of blood donors who participated in the campaign. The draw to choose the winner will be conducted after the number of participants reaches 15,000.

Maha Mohammed Al-Shunaifi, director of corporate communications and marketing at Najm, said the blood donation drive has achieved most of its objectives so far. “Today we celebrate success by presenting the car to the Disabled Children Association in appreciation of its vital role in providing humanitarian services to an important and valuable segment of society.”

She said that the initiative stems from Najm’s solid corporate social responsibility strategy, and an aspiration to promote blood donor culture throughout society.

The “Every drop of blood counts” campaign comes as part of a wider scope of activities organized by Najm to raise awareness about public safety and support accident victims in particular.

Najm was established in 2007 in accordance with a joint cooperation between the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) and the General Directorate of Traffic in connection with traffic accidents and related insurance services.

Najm covers 31 cities around the Kingdom and employs around 1,716 staff, 92 percent of whom are Saudis.
