DUBAI: Yemen’s army liberated several strategic locations in Jebal Theiban and Haifan district, south of Taiz, after fierce clashes with the Houthi militia, Saudi state-news channel Al-Ekhbariya reported.
Field sources told the Yemeni Ministry of Interior’s official site, September Net, that the Houthis suffered major losses in men and equipment while Arab coalition fighter jets launched seven air raids on militia positions.
Friday, The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths discussed issues including prisoners, humanitarian access and the reopening of Sanaa airport with Yemen’s Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Yamani.
