DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates on Monday said air traffic was normal after "false" reports that the Houthi militia in Yemen had targeted Dubai Airport with a drone.

“Air traffic movement in the UAE is normal with no disruptions; Houthi media claims regarding Dubai International Airport are untrue,” the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GCAA) said.

Houthi-run media said earlier that a Sammad-3 drone had targetted the facility, but did not provide any evidence and there were no reports of damage or casualties.

In July, the militants made a similar claim about targeting Abu Dhabi airport, which was denied by the UAE.
