ISLAMABAD: Post-Hajj flights from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan began on Monday, with the first two bringing back more than 700 pilgrims to Islamabad and Karachi, said Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The PIA will operate 225 flights from Saudi Arabia through Hajj and regular scheduled flights, it added. Post-Hajj flight operations will continue until Sept. 25.
A total of 184,210 Pakistanis performed Hajj this year, said Pakistan’s Religious Affairs Ministry. The PIA will bring back more than 68,000 pilgrims, with the rest using other airlines.
